This year, the whole school is performing a wonderful play called Anchors Away and it is simply awesome. We wouldn’t be able to do it without the help of a fantastic teacher Mrs Gebert, who also plays the piano/keyboard in the wonderful performance of Cats.

Haven Habits
Haven’s Habits
The Year 4/5/6 classes at Haven Primary School are once again trying to improve their thinking and working habits. We have used our creative skills to make “ourselves” using a variety of paper skills. We have added unique characteristics such as spiky hair, glasses and rosy cheeks. We then attached a key ring to our name label and whenever we exhibit a habit such as: persistence, striving for accuracy and listening with empathy and understanding; Mrs Baker and Miss Van Dooren will give us a tag to attach to the ring.
We feel very proud when we receive these tags and we are striving to be awarded for as many different habits throughout the term as possible. Sometimes we earn a tag when we least expect it, eg. just by explaining to a friend how to play a game or by asking a question that our teachers believe that shows that we are thinking flexibly.
We hope you like the photos we have included!
Drought Relief Christmas Concert
Thursday the 6th of December, the Drought Relief Christmas Concert will be held at the Haven School. All students from prep to grade 6 have a performance to do that they learnt from Lauren from the Australian Dance Company. Year 5&6 are dancing to Rock This Party by Bob Sinclair. Year 3&4 are dancing to Cotton Eye Joe and the p/1/2 are performing to Bop To the Top. The whole school is dancing to Greased Lightning and singing Christmas carols. We have learnt how to do a specific move every week. Some of the moves are good for you and some are difficult, but others are quite easy. Some moves provide bounce in your step. We hope you will come and enjoy our fabulous school concert!
